Procedures - Kanagu
Delicately engraved metal fittings and ornaments also significantly characterize Iwayado-Tansu. There are two types of ornaments. One and the most traditional way is hand-made metal work (Teguchi-Kanagu in Japanese) and the other is moulded metal work(Nanbu-Tekki Kanagu). When the craftsman, Tokubei, created tools to engrave metals in 1820, workers were able to produce Teuchi-kanagu ornaments for Iwayado-Tansu.
