Procedures - Kidori and Saiku
Kidori and Saiku are important procedures in its manufacturing. An elaborate plan to cut the wood into parts (=Kidori) only allows perfect use of this valuable material. Then each of the delicately made parts are carefully assembled by "human hands" (=Saiku).
The design of Iwayado-Tansu has been developed by Iwayado craftsmen since early in the Middle Ages. The types of products have varied from time to time.
